more money stuff... they just covered Canada's mints, and said that they (Canada) focus on Quality, not Qunatity. They use pure gold for one of the coins minted, pure to 99.999%. To get out the impurities, they perform electrolysis on small slabs, then the resulting "crumbs" on the slabs are the pure gold, which is cast into bars, then pressed 12 times into the correct thinness for minting coins. Each coin is inspected by everyone that handles it. They also make a hologram coin!
Now they're talking about the Euro. The Dutch had three years to make enough Euro coins to replace the current currency, but still had to make Guilder for current use. Since they didnt have enough space to keep Euros at the Mint, they found a secret warehouse area that will hold over 13000 (?) tons of Euro coins, eventualy to be distributed.
Okay - I still think it's neat. Nyah. :)
