iamlachesisTwo years ago tonight, the Station Nightclub fire claimed 100 lives.
The local rock station, 94 WHJY, had a radiothon that ran for 28.5 hours from Thursday thru Friday, and raised over $75000 for the Station Family Fund, and the station's own Dr. Metal.
On February 25th, the "PPAC" will host the Station Family Fund Relief Concert Featured Acts: Tesla, ShineDown and Vanilla Fudge(featuring Pat Travers and Carmine Appice)
The Providence Journal featured obituaries of the victims.
On a somewhat selfish note, I still have two friends around today, because they decided to skip the show. They were able to get married in Vermont, continue their respective educations, and buy a house together that I helped string lights on this past Christmas, after we went tree shopping together.
For those families that are no longer able to do or share in those things, my thoughts and prayers are with you, that you may find comfort and solace in the generosity and compassion of others.
