Jun. 28th, 2000 02:59 pmSo, I went to my doctor's appt finally. He's a nice man, and seemingly very direct. Didnt ask about any symptoms I'd been having (or what I thought were symptoms) but did say that when i said my mother has the same problem and recommended I see someone, he said "that was very smart of your mother to do that".
So I suppose it was a good visit. I was really nervous that it wouldnt be, and that I'd be severly disappointed, but all in all I thnk he'll be a decent PCP. *yay*
So, now, I have to fast for 14 hours, then have some lab work done tomorrow, to determine where to go next. At first look, the doc said he didnt see anything wrong, but that's what the tests are for. In a way, I'm secretly hoping that they do find something, so it'll make me feel better that this isnt all coming out of nowhere. I dont think that's unreasonable, really - it's not like i'm obsessed or anything. The other good thing is that when I mentioned the hydrocephalus, he started asking me all kinds of questions about it adn asked me if anyone said it could be related to other problems. No one's ever asked me that before - even if the answer turns out to be no, I'm still glad he thought to ask in the first place. huh. suddenly the middle of my back hurts. :( right between the shouder blades. ick.
I feel kinda wierd - like thinking that I'm depending on this one test tomorrow to be the beginning of solving all my problems, and that's SO not going to happen. Not all, anyway. At least I may be able ot get some of the answers I feel I've been missing - hopefully.
blah. Cant type clowns will eat me.
see ya.
