movie title help!

I was thinking of a movie I saw sometime last year on AFC or thereabouts, starring Joan Crawford (or at least Joan in a top role). Since I only saw the latter half of the movie and they didnt have the name listed anywhere, if someone can help me out I'd appreciate it...

what I remember is:
-it was Black and White
-it seemed like a Hitchcockian type suspense/thriller type
the scenes I remember were: (NB: it's a bit fuzzy - sorry)
Crawford's character was trying to confirm that her husband was having an affair, and thought that he was going to try and kill her. She hid in a closet when she heard him come in the house; escaped the house, and the last part of the movie was him chasing her thru the city- up a fire escape, thru the streets; and it ended with him in a car driving frantically looking for her to kill her, until he finally ran what he thought was her down with his car; only the white headscarf she had on was ALSO worn by the other woman, whom he killed instead.

I THINK that's how it went, anyway.
If anyone knows this, I'd appreciate knowing.

thanks! I checked that on IMDB, and I'm still not sure, but having someone else think the same thing makes me a little less uncertain, if not more sure. :)
